1. Patent Notice
The technology underlying TERNARIX™, including but not limited to the ternary encoding system, the visual overlay method, and the adaptive reading interface, is protected by one or more pending international patent applications. This product and associated technologies may be protected by one or more patents or pending patent applications in the United States, Japan, and other jurisdictions.
Nichido Solutions Inc. has filed patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) covering core aspects of the Ternarix system. These applications are currently pending before the relevant patent offices. National and regional phase entries are planned in multiple jurisdictions, including Japan, the United States, the European Patent Office (EPO), Canada, Australia, China, and India.
The scope of patent protection sought covers, among other things:
- the method of encoding alphabetic characters into a ternary visual symbol system composed of three vertically stacked block states;
- the rendering of ternary symbol overlays on existing digital text in real time within a web browser environment;
- the adaptive reading interface that adjusts symbol presentation based on user learning progress.
Certain features of the Ternarix technology may be protected by issued patents or pending patent applications in Japan, the United States, and other jurisdictions. Unauthorised commercial implementation of technology covered by issued patents or pending patent claims may constitute patent infringement and will be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
The descriptions of technology on this page are provided for informational purposes only and are not intended to define, limit, or interpret the scope of any patent application or issued patent. The scope of protection for any patent is defined solely by the claims of the relevant patent application or granted patent.

You may not use the TERNARIX™ name, logo, or any confusingly similar marks in connection with any product or service without prior written permission from Nichido Solutions Inc. This includes, but is not limited to:
- using “Ternarix” or any phonetically or visually similar variation as a product name, domain name, or app name;
- implying endorsement, affiliation, or partnership with Ternarix without authorisation;
- reproducing or modifying the Ternarix logo or visual assets.
You may refer to the TERNARIX™ name for descriptive purposes (for example, in articles, research, or commentary) provided such use does not imply endorsement or affiliation with Nichido Solutions Inc.

4. Proprietary Technology
The following technologies and systems are proprietary to Nichido Solutions Inc. and are protected under applicable patent, copyright, trade secret, and trade dress laws:
4.1 Ternary Encoding System
The method of representing alphabetic characters as a stack of three block states (solid, dotted, or empty) to form compact visual symbols. Elements of this encoding system, including, where applicable, mappings between characters and ternary states, the rules for symbol composition, and the resulting visual output, are proprietary.
4.2 Adaptive Reading Interface
The system that overlays ternary symbols onto existing digital text within a web browser, enabling users to develop visual word recognition alongside standard text. This includes the real-time rendering pipeline, the local processing architecture (which operates without transmitting webpage content), and the adaptive mechanisms that adjust to individual learning progress.
4.3 Visual Trade Dress
The overall visual appearance and presentation of the ternary symbol system, including the block proportions, grid alignment, symbol spacing, overlay positioning, and the distinctive look and feel of the Ternarix interface, are proprietary. The distinctive visual appearance of the Ternarix interface may be protected under applicable trade dress laws where such protection is recognised.
4.4 Input Systems
Systems and devices for entering ternary character codes, including keyboard layouts, touch interfaces, and client-server input mechanisms designed for the Ternarix encoding system.
5. Infringement Reporting
If you believe that any product, service, or publication infringes on the intellectual property rights of Nichido Solutions Inc., including patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade dress, please report it through our contact page.
When reporting, please include:
- a description of the intellectual property you believe is being infringed;
- the URL or location of the allegedly infringing material;
- your contact information for follow-up;

Where applicable, reports of copyright infringement may be processed in accordance with relevant notice-and-takedown procedures under applicable law.
Nichido Solutions Inc. takes intellectual property protection seriously and will investigate all credible reports.
